Fireworks

Someone lights the fuses,
The rockets fly on high,
Suddenly there’s seen by all,
Burst of colours in the sky.



They seem to linger up there,
Suspended in mid air,
But for just a fleeting moment,
There’s colour everywhere.



Once the light and colour faded,
The view we will recall,
It seemed so very vivid,
Admired by one and all.



Now if you take a moment,
And think of life at worst,
Your love will brighten everything,
Just like a fireworks burst.



Love is just like that very firework,
Fired into the sky,
But once the fuse of love is lit,
Then love should never die.



The firework is most glorious,
On the darkest of the nights,
So it is with true love,
‘Twill the dark times light.



So many things around us,
Can with love be so compared,
But the spectacle of fireworks,
Is just like true love shared.



Love does begin with lighting,
Within your heart a fuse,
Then so unexpectedly,
It’s true colours you will view.



The explosion that you feel within,
Right from the very start,
Will always stay around you,
True love deep in your heart.



And just like those very fireworks,
Love will brighten all around,
All people will but notice,
A special one you’ve found.



But do my friends remember,
Just like the firework too,
If you want to see the colour,
Love must be lit by you.



For should you forget to light it,
Then love will surely wane,
Once gone it’s gone forever,
Ne’er to return again.



It seems so many people,
Take love as just for granted,
So never forget the very need,
To keep lit the fuses planted.



Your love will surely brighten,
Like the firework up above,
And you will surely see and feel,
The power and colour of love.



For nothing is more powerful,
Love is a feeling that’s divine,
When no longer life is yours,
But shared with loved one for all time.
