Some years ago I saw a poster on a friends wall which had written on it a few rules that began with the words "IF", such as "If you drop it  ~  Pick it up".  There were only about six or eight of them, but as I read them I thought the idea could be expanded upon.

After some time I sat down and wrote this collection.  It was put together as a project to make one think and provoke everyone to consider the complexities of life.  Although this collection was put together by me I acknowledge that some are not my own originals, although the majority are.  You may have seen one or two of these before, but many will be new to you.  The collection was put together in 1999.  Feel free to share any or all of them with others.  Pick your favourites and make your own posters if you wish.
