There was a time,
Some years ago,
I met someone,
I did not know.

But from that time,
Something deep grew.

I did see her there,
My hand did lightly,
Brush her hair.

For me did stay,
And I recall it,
Even today.

I did then ask,
I wanted to see,
So I spoke those words,
"Will you go out with me"?

Her beauty shone,
From her youthful face,
And her answer,
Made my heart race.

I wondered what,
I did just find,
Because she was always,
On my mind.

So together,
Our love we carried,
Then we decided,
To get married.

Time went on,
Years moved so fast,
Our youthful days,
Were not meant to last.

We both have lost,
Our looks of youth,

That is the truth.

I still see beauty,
